Barry has played and coached at
semi-professional level (has played for Gloucester City, Cheltenham Town, Cirencester
Town, Fairford Town, Chippenham Town etc) and has also been a football manager. He is a
licensed Professional Football Coach qualified to UEFA B (level 3) through Somerset FA
and is also qualified as an FA Goalkeeping Coach at level 2. |
Barry undertakes football coaching to adults,
youths, women and men's teams as well as to individuals on a bespoke basis. Barry is currently
coaching at Bristol Academy Women's FC (Bristol Rovers) and Centre of Excellence. Bristol Academy
compete in the FA Women's Premier League National Division.
Barry is also a Sports Massage Therapist.
All members of Barry's team are qualified in Emergency Aid, have CRB Enhanced Disclosure from the
F.A. and hold F.A. Coaches' Liability Insurance.
Professional Coaching Programmes for schools, teams and
individuals
Barry provides quality specialised and individual coaching,
given to ensure continual development of players and designed to increase performance potential.
Coaching, coaching games and training programmes on offer include school holiday fun days, after School
sessions and also masterclass programmes designed to finely tune and develop the potential of each player.
The School programmes on offer are open to all pupils and are inclusive of all ability levels. Coaching topics
include techniques, building of skills and also small-sided games. Coaching topics will cover players for all
positions and encourage individualisation of practice.
Variations in trainability have been selected to meet the demand of players for position specific experience.
Coaching content will provide a stimulating learning environment with maximum participation to build confidence
and self-esteem.

Diet, nutrition and fitness
Barry is able to assist with a personal fitness programme
to enable a player to understand ways in which to fuel performance. Advice and guidance will be given on
diet and nutrition to enable appreciation of the fitness demands placed on the modern footballer. Younger
players will be safely coached to improve their strength. |
